CONFORT MENTAL est un espace de production, de vente et d’exposition d’objets. Il est ouvert aux pratiques de l’art et du design dans une volonté délibérée de transversalité. Il se propose d’être une vitrine, au sens propre comme au sens figuré, sur les pratiques contemporaines des professionnels qui pensent et fabriquent par eux mêmes.
Fondé par le designer Romain Guillet, CONFORT MENTAL rend visible une pratique d’atelier souvent cachée dans des espaces partagés, lointains, et non dédiés. Il permet pendant un temps donné, de penser, produire, documenter, exposer un projet dans un geste ininterrompu, dans un espace mutant selon son processus.
Autant showroom qu’atelier, CONFORT MENTAL est polyvalent par nature, s’adapte en un clin d’oeil aux invités du moment, tente d’agréger les fonctions de travail, de représentation, et de convivialité. L’architecture du lieu est modulable et ouverte sur la rue, il scénographie la pratique quotidienne des invités, donne à voir des projets en train de se faire, et facilite les rencontres entre praticiens et visiteurs.
CONFORT MENTAL offre également un service global de conception de projet pour les artistes et particuliers exigeant l’accompagnement d’un designer.

CONFORT MENTAL is a project-space for making, selling or showing objects. It’s aimed at every art and design experiences with a solid interdisciplinary view. It’s a window both literally end figuratively, on contemporary praxis of those who think and build by themselves.
Founded by designer Romain Guillet, CONFORT MENTAL, showcases what’s usually hidden in shared, remote, non-dedicated workspaces. It allows, for a specific period of time, to think, execute, document, exhibit a project like a continuous movement, in a mutant space according to each particular process.
Both showroom and workshop, CONFORT MENTAL is versatile by nature, quickly adjusts itself to every guest needs, tries to combine working and showing functions with togetherness in the same environment. The architecture is flexible and open on the street, it stages the daily practice of each guest, make work-in-progress more visible, and helps visitors and artists to mingle.
CONFORT MENTAL also offers a global design service for artists and every people with a project who needs some design support.
